It's the local marina go to for annual boat service. Call ahead, drop off your boat and they do the service. Pay over the phone and voila pick up anytime and your back in the water running. We've been using them for years with great success!
If I only had some money to spare. Went in looking for a fuel pump for my Merc outboard. Not only did they have the part in stock, but it was cheaper than anything I could find online. They even offered to install it the same day, but I forgot to bring my boat ?.
Steve and Linda have been dedicated hard working integral parts of this community for a very long time. It can be a very thankless job but they are always professional and dependable. Sometimes circumstances beyond their control make their job challenging but they always do the right thing. I have had my boats serviced, stored and delivered every spring, removed every fall for decades and I wouldn't trust anyone more than Norland Marine!! Five stars all the way!!! I'm a loyal and committed customer!
Great experience ! I have an old ski boat with a mid 80's 115 Mercury outboard that hadn't worked properly in 5 years. After having it looked at and worked on by two other Marinas - with no success - I brought it to Norland Marine in mid-July. They had it ready to go in early August, and it's back running in top form again ! A pleasure to deal with, would highly recommend - thanks Linda and Steve !
Terrible experience. We brought our outboard in for repair. After a long and expensive “fix” the engine ran worse than when it was brought in - Discussions with the owner to remedy the problem only prompted them to threaten legal involvement. Highly recommend avoiding for any boat service - Our outboard engine has never been the same.
Friendly family owned business. I have never had a complaint about price or quality in nearly 20 years of getting repairs and services here. They are a pleasure to deal with. The store front is not extensive but strategically stocked with what you really need and a few toys you don't. Sometimes mechanical work is a mystery and never has there been a condescending look when you have to describe your problem by making broken boat noises :) . They treat your money like they would theirs so when you have a true mystery they solve it with a methodical approach to work with you to find the problem instead of just throwing parts at it.
Avoid at all costs. These guys will act friendly and then charge you beyond your estimate. They claimed to have fixed an issue with my boat. Upon waiting 4 weeks for the repairs with multiple delays, and then launching with them present, the issue continued to manifest itself. When i returned the boat to them to take back and complete the repair, they continued to charge me for new "inspections", travel costs, and hours, yet came up inconclusive on the issue. This shop does not abide by the law (Consumer Protection Act for motor vehicle repairs) and instead charges at will without proper quotes, and holds your vehicle ransom. Avoid this shop if you value honesty and transparency, and on top of that, someone capable of completing the work they took on.
